Hey, everyone! Heaven knows we have all been pressed for time in the morning. You hit snooze a thousand times and finally crawl out of bed with literally 20 minutes to make yourself look presentable. You need to cut as many corners regarding personal care as possible in order to get to class or work on time without foregoing your extremely necessary coffee stop. Here are 4 items you can purchase at a drugstore that will keep you from sprucing up while at stoplights.
- Olay In-Shower Body Lotion
This thing is such a gift. Although I do like to use traditional lotion when I have the time, I use this in-shower lotion the most. I just slap it on after cleansing my skin (while still in the shower) and rinse it off for a few seconds. The moisture lasts all day and your skin will be comparably as soft as it would have been if you used regular lotion. You can read more about this time-saver in my post In-Shower Lotion Face-off.
- L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper Brow Gel MascaraThis product is great when you’re short on time. It adds color to your brows while holding them in place and making them appear fuller. I use it everyday, but I usually apply it on top of my usual brow powder. However, when I want to look more natural or I am pressed for time, I use this brow gel by itself. See how I swipe it onto bare brows in my post Video: L’Oreal Brow Stylist Plumper.
- Neutrogena Healthy Skin 3-in-1 Concealer for EyesThis product does what it says: It conceals eye bags and circles, moisturizes the eye area, and it protects your skin from the sun. Any 3-in-1 is a must-have in my book! But since the color is not as concentrated as some concealers, I don’t use it every single day. (Sometimes, I have serious luggage under my eyes that requires a more pigmented concealer.) When I have the time (and I often do not), I like to apply concealer on top of my eye cream, which means I have to wait for the cream to dry a little before I can begin the concealing process. If you are always struggling with time or are out in the sun a lot, this is perfect for you. (You can see a more extensive post about this product HERE.)
- Essie Good to Go Topcoat (for nails) This isn’t necessarily a morning time-saver, but it could be! You do not know how many times I have been waiting at a traffic light, looked over at the car next to me, and saw that the driver was painting her nails. I even once saw someone painting her nails while the vehicle was moving. Scary, right?! Also, how many times have you woken up with smudged nails and needed a quick touch-up? This topcoat is incredible. One coat conceals smudges, and it dries a full set of freshly polished nails in no time. Seriously- no time! On multiple occasions, I have swept it over my wet nail polish and began cooking dinner 5 minutes later. I have even accidentally banged my nails on something while doing gathering ingredients and such, which resulted in little or no damage. Plus, it makes your nails look like they have gel polish on them. It makes them super shiny and sturdy. I cannot say enough good things about this product and have told countless friends and family members about it.
That’s what’s up in time-saving, affordable beauty. Hopefully, you can all find this useful, as the school year is fast approaching and work is always there! We will always be in a hurry in this life, I’m afraid. Now you know that you can look and feel put together in less time!
Thanks for reading, dolls! Have a good one.

Haha, thank you! I feel like I am off my game a bit, but I really pray that the teacher in me shines through my work. None of these posts are perfect, but they are the best I can do with two little girls bouncing around me.
